Fixtures & Fittings

• Hinges and locks need lubrication annually; contact us if you’re unsure what products to use

• If hinges are squeaking, cover them with a silicone spray or WD-40

• If you prefer a more natural solution, apply petroleum jelly to each part of the hinge instead

Patio Doors

• Keep the track clean to prevent sliding doors from sticking

• Use a soft brush to remove dried dirt and debris and a damp cotton bud if grit is embedded between the grooves. 

• Never use oils or lubricants in the tracks and refrain from slamming the doors shut

Windows & Frames

• Avoid using abrasives at all costs as they’ll damage both the double glazing and frames

• If you spot any condensation or misting within the sealed unit, or cracks in the glass, contact TS Glazing Maintenance & Repairs immediately

• Using warm water with a drop of mild detergent, rub the frames first before tackling the glass

• Repeat the process until your cloth is no longer collecting dirt

• Buff the frames with a microfibre cloth and use a squeegee to remove access water from the glass.

Top Tip! When washing windows inside and out at the same time, use the squeegee vertically on one side and horizontally on the other. If you spot any marks left behind, you’ll know which side they’re on.
